There is no easy way to deal with a loved one's suicide.
Whether you turn to religion, parents, spouses, friends or who ever, it's important to turn to someone. Talking through your feelings can really help. You'll go through many stages including some like denial, anger, emptiness/loneliness, withdrawl. There is nothing wrong with feeling these emotions. However, there comes a time when you have to decide you want to move on. Moving on doesn't mean you're forgetting or leaving behind your lost loved one, it just means you're valueing life- a lesson that was learned the hard way when some one ended their life. Live on for them.
Remember:
- you can't beat yourself up over what you could have done
- it's okay to be angry- you just have to work through the anger
- people will try to help in sometimes unhelpful ways but it just means they care
- try to carry on with life since your lost loved one no longer can
- it's not your fault! everyone makes their own decisions
- healing is a process
